The delegates worked as whole group to create an example Omnidule They also explored and discussed ways that the Dutch school have been using this in their lessons and had idea and information sharing opportunities. Finally they worked in pairs to create our own Omnidules for use in school.
The participants observed sessions using Optimusic with students of different ages and abilities using Optimusic for warm up activities/games as well as for part of a longer session. They then had time to create their own Optimusic session activity linked to familiar story working in small groups to add sounds and images to the beams of light.
The delegates were able to observe sessions in the Multisensory room where they looked at and explored ‘Magic Carpet’ equipment (interactive images on the floor from a mobile projector). They explored how this can be used as a sensory piece of equipment; how this can be used to support questions (pupils can jump/touch the correct answer) and how this can be used to consolidate learning about a particular topic area.
